The need

The context

In the Sacred Valley, Peru, finding a plumber, a driver or a local producer usually happens through word of mouth. The project needed to make these small businesses and craftspeople findable online, with no middleman or commission, and without each listing getting lost in a plain list.

The response

The approach

A simple directory, searchable by town and service type, with a direct WhatsApp contact on every listing so the end customer talks straight to the business โ€” not to a platform. The site is coded in Next.js, with server-side rendering so content is immediately visible, including to Google.

Under the hood

SEO strategy applied

One indexable page per business

Each business or craftsperson has their own page, not just a line in a JavaScript-generated list โ€” letting them rank individually on their own name and town.

Server-side rendering (Next.js)

Content is generated server-side rather than loaded afterward by the browser, so Google can index each listing immediately without depending on JavaScript execution.

A URL structure per town

From Pisac to Ollantaytambo, every town in the valley has its own section, targeting local searches town by town rather than one generic "Sacred Valley" search.

Bilingual ES/EN content

The site offers pages in Spanish and English to capture both searches from valley residents and from international visitors planning their trip.

What makes the difference

  • โœ“Over 125 businesses and services listed
  • โœ“Search by town, from Pisac to Ollantaytambo
  • โœ“Direct WhatsApp contact from every listing

Every new business added to the directory is one more indexable page: the structure is built to grow without losing clarity, as the Sacred Valley lists more and more businesses.
